I love a good energy boost! I’m not sure what happened between my younger days and now (I’m lying-I totally know…kids) but I don’t seem to have half the energy that I used to. There are a lot of energy products on the market, but they don’t all give the same results so it’s good when we find one that works, makes us feel not only energetic but generally better and tastes good to boot.

We had the chance to try Phix energy drink mix (and give a prize pack to one of our lucky moms) and we were happy to give it a whirl!

First Impressions

Let me just be honest…I’m a sucker for nice packaging. I still have the box to my iPhone for no apparent reason other than I like it, and I’m not sure if it has to do with my background in design or the fact that when something is packaged nicely it just makes me feel special? Anyway, Phix Energy Drink comes beautifully packaged in a box of 5 energy stix that are perfect for throwing into your bag when you are on the run. When I first opened the package I loved the lean and sophisticated design.

Taste

The first flavor we tried was the Teaberry. I don’t like tea, my husband does. We both like the Teaberry flavor but suggest drinking it ice cold for the best flavor experience. We also tried Citron and Tropic which were both good, but Tropic was our favorite. The taste of all of the flavors we tried were good and the drinks were not gritty, thick or hard to mix like some others that we have tried. To mix, just pull a bottled water from the fridge, take a swallow, add the mix.

But does it work?

Yes and very well! My experience was that it gave me more energy (and REAL energy) then coffee but with out the crash later. I even tried it on days following my cup of joe and, to my pleasant surprise, it worked but it didn’t over stimulate me. There was no tingling head or running around like a ray person, and I didn’t feel irritable at all. IT was like I felt like me, but better. We are big Phix fans!
